What’s The Difference Between Dental Hygienists And Dental Therapists ?

Both of these people have an important role in promoting dental health,  but therapists are trained to a higher level and have more procedures they are allowed to offer you.

Dental Hygienists and Dental Therapists both treat adults and children by carrying out a range of procedures, including:
☺ Scaling and polishing - cleaning your teeth professionally
☺ Applying fluoride and fissure sealants to teeth
☺ Taking dental x-rays
☺ Dental health education for children and adults
☺ Routine fillings for adults and children
☺ Using all materials except pre cast or pinned placements
☺ Extracting deciduous (first) teeth under local analgesia

Provided that they have completed appropriate training, (which the Appledore Milton Keynes Dental Therapist has) they can perform extended duties including:
☺ Pulp therapy treatment of children teeth

    I would like to express my thanks to everyone at Appledore Dental Clinic Milton Keynes for my Dental Check & then wonderful Hygienist cleaning of my teeth !!!    

    I left with sparkly teeth and felt a million dollars!!

    I broke my ankle at Christmas and because of further complications I cant manage stairs - arrangements were made for me be seen downstairs.

    I thought as a first time patient that the cloakroom facilities absolutely first class for disabled (even a bell pull if you were in trouble and felt ill).

    The 2 receptionists on duty both morning and afternoon were superb and couldn't have been more helpful and kind.
