I was in so much pain

I have never missed a single 6 monthly dental check-up since I started going at around 9 or 10 years old, never been scared of them, and normally walk away happy. So when things started to go wrong, worry and fear kicked in.

I'd met Teresa through networking and was in so much pain I went to her in an emergency. 

I found Teresa extremely professional, able to diagnose the problem, not willing to cut corners and she sent me away with an immediate simple cure and with an action card.

Time for action came, although not on the same tooth, and worried does not describe half of what I felt. However, Teresa put me at my ease, able to watch the fish and I could lie back with an almost pain free injection process using The Magic Wand.

Throughout the whole process, Teresa explained what was going on, keeping me calm and at times I swear I nodded off for just a few milliseconds.

                                        With the modern techniques used by Dr Neha Gokani at Appledore Dental Clinic Milton Keynes a root canal treatment is no longer a treatment to be feared and should be embraced as it extends the life of your tooth.
                                        • Why does my tooth hurt?  When you have a trauma to your tooth or an infection, it can damage the root canal causing swelling and pain.
                                        • What is a root canal?  This is the soft middle part of your tooth where the nerves and blood vessels are.
                                        • What are the treatment options?  The only cure is to clean the root canal in your offending tooth. If the problem was caused by an infection you will probably need antibiotics first. Once your tooth is numbed, the root canal is removed and then replaced with a sealant to prevent further infection and pain occurring. It's quite a fiddly intricate procedure, on more complex teeth, Dr Neha will sometimes use the microscope for a better view.
